Several years ago, I started offering teachers and other interested folks hands-on artmaking workshops with presenters whose work I like. (The best part of being the workshop organizer is, I get to pick the presenter! LOL). I try to keep the cost as reasonable as possible – I’m not trying to make a profit here; I’m trying to cover the expenses – artist fees, airfare, food, etc. – and lunch is included in the price, as well. Also included is the opportunity to meet and work with grown adults for a change, chill out, learn something new, learn from each other, swap stories, swap lesson plans, or whatever, not to mention CEU credits if you’re a teacher. Priceless!
